Customers said this playset offers excellent quality materials and variety of activities for children ages 1-10+. Assembly is extremely time-consuming (20-40 hours, 2+ days), but instructions are clear and the BILT app helps. Kids love the slides, swings, and fort areas. "Very sturdy" and durable cedar construction, though some noted creaking sounds and soft wood that requires weatherproofing.

I had to pay someone to install since the instructions said it was going to take 2 people and approximately 36 hours, but the assembly app is the best and I could've build it! For sturdiness the person that installed it put 2 metal rods and concrete to the swing side to avoid the rocking since my 9 year old who's about 150 pounds would make it rock. I added the bucket swing since I have a 1 year old. Overall great purchase.

Took my husband roughly 35 hours to assemble solo. Very strong and sturdy. It came in four boxes, would recommend opening all of the boxes and sorting all of the wood pieces before you begin. Instructions were clear and the structure is very well made. We did not have any issues with missing pieces.

My grandchildren love coming over to my house and playing on their new playground! It’s great because you can add parts to it as my son just had a baby this year so I’m adding on a swing for the baby, the playground is suitable for children ages 7 months+

I read the reviews ahead of...

I read the reviews ahead of time, so I was mentally prepared for how long this would take and like all the other reviews have mentioned this playset is extremely time consuming. There are 300 steps to complete however, very rarely were the steps difficult. In fact, I was able to do the majority of the building on my own with minimal experience. The BILT app was essential to have and was extremely easy to use. I couldn’t imagine building it without the app. I have seen people mention that they thought the quality of the wood was not great, but I have to disagree. I thought the playset was great quality and very sturdy. I also had no issues with the hardware. It is essential to sort the pieces before you start. I used Post-it notes to label each piece. I couldn’t imagine having to search for each piece when it came time to building. It would’ve added a lot of time and a lot of frustration on building day. I did not organize the hardware, but I should have. I would suggest organizing it numerically. Overall, I think this is a great playset. The kids LOVE it which makes all of the time and money spent on it worth it.

The product is good, its strong to hold an adult my kids love it. The only problem that I had was it some of the wood didn't have the part number and they could have been a little more specific on which side went up and the parts are not all in the boxes that they say they are so you have to open them all. O and the delivery company called ceva took for ever to bring it to me,and they had forgotten the 5 box back in Chicago and that took another 4 weeks to get to me. But the product is self is good.

Not much more to say beyond...

Not much more to say beyond other positive reviews. It’s exactly what I thought and great materials. Strong and sturdy. Our son is 2.5 and so far he “likes that park” haha. It took my husband and BIL 1.5 days to construct. But my husband spent about a full day or so putting as much together as he could before the actual construction. Delivery was great. Only “complaint” I would say was that the tube slide wasn’t originally delivered and I had to hunt it down. But we got it and overall a great delivery experience.

We shopped around quite a lot...

We shopped around quite a lot for a play set that gave us the best bang for our buck. This one took the cake pretty easily when we found it. We really enjoyed the esthetic and range of activities it provides.Build time:They are NOT exaggerating the building time on this set! My wife was 34 weeks pregnant when we started this, so she was only able to help on certain things. You can do 90% of this by yourself if you\'re resourceful, but many steps are either way easier with a quick hand. Overall, we had about 35-40 hours total for unboxing and assembly. We read other reviews and luckily took their advice in organizing ahead of time.We laid all the lumber out in alphanumeric order and then I organized the hardware by type and size. Just this step took us about 2 hours, but easily saved us more than that later. I used a very small box to pick out exactly what I needed for the current step so I wouldn\'t mess up my organization. This worked great for the first half of the build, but then when I started the 2nd story, climbing up and down became a huge time sink. My biggest regret is I messed with my organization to avoid climbing, and it ended up being a pain. The app was very helpful for a few confusing steps, but not necessary for most of them since the paper was pretty easy to follow.LESSON LEARNED: Get a few small containers that are easy to move and keep everything in them organized. I promise it will save you time and heartache. Also, having 1 person on the ground to get the parts for the next step helps keep you efficient - especially on the 2nd story part.Materials:Overall I was pretty happy with the quality of the materials. As an engineer and carpenter by trade, I was surprised at how accurate the hole locations etc were. Only place I had an issue was putting the swing bracket on the main unit, but I just wallowed out 1 of the holes in the direction I needed slightly. The wood is cedar so it does not require treating. It is naturally rot resistant- that\'s why it\'s so expensive! It\'s also lightweight so easy to adjust the assembly as you go even with a huge amount built. Wood was smooth and neither of us ever got a splinter. We really enjoyed the beautiful grain patterns in the lighter colors. Hardware was super overkill for the use - but that\'s not a bad thing. I\'d rather it be oversized than under. Had to be careful to not over-drive the lag screws. Sometimes they wanted to strip the wood because it\'s so low density, but pretty easy to get a feel for that as you go. We did not have any missing pieces! In fact I have a box of extra since they give 2 extra of nearly everything just in case there\'s a problem.Fun:My 5 year old daughter was hyperventilating with excitement when this thing was ready. She was so excited to play on it! After several days she still is on it constantly - instead of getting into trouble elsewhere lol.Pros:Beautiful, safe, kid loves it, great instructions, quality materials, not too difficult to assemble.Cons:LOUD! Probably the wood settling in it\'s location, but this thing creaks like crazy when walked on or when swinging to a certain height. I expect this will get better over time - especially when the humidity drops and the wood contracts.Curly slide was a b%$ to put together. Too many things to hold and force into place.Maintenance will be needed to keep it nice. This is true of any wood set, but being cedar, it should last a very long time with proper care, and any damaged pieces can be replaced if you\'re handy.Overall, a great buy for the money, and like another reviewer said, your partner and kids will love you all the more for the hard work you put into this. Definitely a worthy investment in many ways.Stop looking and just buy this one.

I’ve had this a couple years. My 4-year old LOVES this playground. It holds me, I’m 6’-3”, and about 200 pounds. It does a great job keeping the baby occupied. With a friend, it takes two full days to assemble. Be prepared. Very durable, looks good, and I’d imagine it’ll be fun for the kids for many years to come.

This thing is massive, it takes several days to build even with multiple people. It is extremely tall as well. My daughter loves it. She runs all over it. Feels ok as far as durability. I don’t think it will last 15 years but definitely a few at least. I think it’s worth the money spent

The Grandkids love it! When our daughter and her family moved we offered to replace their existing playset that had rotting wood. After investigating our options we settled on Backyard Discovery as we were impressed with their quality products. We love seeing the grandkids delight when they play on it.

Ok I am very pleased with this play set! I read many reviews, many people said they had problems with assembly. I went very slow and it resulted in zero errors in the assembly process. In turn i was able to prepare the location, assemble the play set, and fill the play area with a safety bedding all within 5 days 100 percent by myself! My son loves it!, I love it!, my wife loves it!, everyone loves it! It is very sturdy and it looks great in the yard. It was totally worth every penny and im very glad we have it. What are young memories of? My sons' will include playing with his friends on this playset for years! So grateful, thank you for a great product.
